Move Photos to a Different Collection
Learn how to move photos between collections in Foto Owl without reuploading — select photos, use Add to Collection, and reassign them to the right event segment in seconds.
Overview
Process Summary
Moving photos between collections in FotoOwl is quick and does not require reuploading. Open your dashboard, navigate to My Events, and select the event containing the photos you want to move. You will see all uploaded photos alongside your created collections — such as Haldi, Mehndi, or Reception. Select the photos you want to reassign, click Add to Collection from the action pop-up, choose the target collection, and confirm. A success message will confirm that the collection has been updated.
Steps
Open Your Dashboard
Log in to your FotoOwl account and open the Dashboard.
Go to My Events
From the dashboard, click on My Events. Here you will see a list of all the events you have created.
Select the Event
Click on the event that contains the photos you want to move to open it.
View Photos and Collections
Inside the event, you will see all uploaded photos along with the list of collections you have created — for example, Haldi, Mehndi, or Reception.
Select the Photos to Move
Select the photos you want to move to a different collection. You can select one or multiple photos at once.
Click Add to Collection
Once photos are selected, a black action pop-up will appear at the bottom of the screen. Click Add to Collection from the available options.
Choose the Target Collection
A list of your existing collections will appear. Select the collection where you want to move the selected photos.
Confirm the Move
Once done, you will see a confirmation message that the collection has been updated successfully. The selected photos are now part of the chosen collection.
Key Notes
Before You Move Photos
Moving photos between collections does not reupload or duplicate them — it simply reassigns them to a different collection within the same event. You can move multiple photos at once by selecting them together before clicking Add to Collection. The photos will no longer appear in their previous collection and will only be visible in the new one.
