What should a photography invoice include?
A photography invoice should include an invoice number, the invoice and due dates, your studio and client details, the event, an itemised list of services with quantities and rates, any discount, tax, the total, the advance already received, the balance due and your payment details.
Is this photography invoice template free?
Yes. The invoice template is free and needs no sign-up. Fill in the form, then download the invoice as a PDF or send it to your client on WhatsApp.
How do I save the invoice as a PDF?
Click Download PDF and pick Save as PDF as the destination in the print dialog. The PDF contains only the invoice, not the rest of this page.
Should a photography invoice show CGST and SGST or IGST?
In India, if your client is in the same state as your studio, GST is split equally into CGST and SGST. If the client is in another state, the full rate is charged as IGST. Photography services are usually taxed at 18%; confirm the rate and place of supply with your accountant.
How do I show the advance the client already paid?
Enter it in Amount received. The invoice shows the total, the amount paid and the balance due, and marks the invoice as paid once nothing is left.
What is the difference between a quotation and an invoice?
A quotation is sent before booking and proposes a price. An invoice is sent after the client agrees and asks for payment. FotoOwl also has a free photography quotation template for the first step.
Where is my invoice data stored?
Your invoice is saved in this browser on this device so you can come back to it. It is not sent to FotoOwl. Clearing your browser data or clicking Start over removes it.
How do I keep track of unpaid photography invoices?
FotoOwl Studio Manager turns an approved quote into invoices with due dates and payment status, and sends a reminder before the balance is due. Its free plan includes invoices. Pick a plan at studio.fotoowl.ai/plan.
