Upload Photos from Google Drive
Learn how to upload photos to a Foto Owl event directly from Google Drive — paste a public link, import your photos, and publish the event for guests.
Overview
Process Summary
Uploading photos from Google Drive in FotoOwl is a fast way to import event media without manually selecting files from your device. Open your dashboard, navigate to My Events, and select the event you want. Click Upload Photos, choose the Google Drive option, and paste your public Google Drive link. Click Import and the system will fetch all photos from the link. Once the import is complete, your photos appear in the event — ready to be published and shared with guests.
Steps
Open Your Dashboard
Log in to your FotoOwl account and open the Dashboard.
Go to My Events
From the dashboard, click on My Events. Here you will see a list of all the events you have created.
Select the Event
Click on the event where you want to upload photos to open it.
Click Upload Photos
Inside the event, click Upload Photos to open the upload options.
Choose Google Drive
From the upload options, click on Google Drive to import photos from a Google Drive link.
Paste Your Google Drive Link
You will see a field to enter your Google Drive link. Paste the link to the folder or files you want to import.
Click Import
After pasting the link, click Import. The system will start importing the photos from your Google Drive.
Wait for the Import to Complete
Allow the import process to finish. Once complete, close the import tab. You will then be able to see all the uploaded photos in your event.
Publish and Share the Event
Finally, publish the event and share it with your guests using a link or QR code so they can access the imported photos.
Key Notes
Before You Import
Your Google Drive link must be publicly accessible for FotoOwl to import the photos. The import runs in the background — wait for it to complete before closing the tab. Once imported, photos appear in your event gallery and can be organised into collections, moved, or deleted like any other uploaded media.
