How to Turn Download On or Off in Foto Owl
Learn how to control guest download access in Foto Owl — enable or disable Bulk Download and Single Download from your event's General settings.
Overview
Process Summary
FotoOwl lets you control exactly how guests can download photos from your event. Open your dashboard, navigate to My Events, and select the event you want to configure. In the Settings tab under General settings, you will find two toggles — Bulk Download and Single Download. Turn off Bulk Download to prevent guests from downloading all photos in one click, or turn off Single Download to stop individual photo downloads. Click Save to apply your changes.
Steps
Open Your Dashboard
Log in to your FotoOwl account and open the Dashboard.
Go to My Events
From the dashboard, click on My Events. Here you will see a list of all the events you have created.
Select the Event and Open Settings
Click on the event you want to configure. Once inside the event, open the Settings tab.
Locate the Download Toggles
In the General settings, you will see two download toggles:
- Bulk Download — Allows guests to download all photos in one click.
- Single Download — Allows guests to download individual photos.
Turn Off Bulk Download
If you do not want customers to download all photos in one click, toggle Bulk Download off. Guests will no longer see the option to download the entire gallery at once.
Turn Off Single Download
If you do not want customers to download individual photos, toggle Single Download off. Guests will no longer be able to download photos one at a time.
Save Your Changes
After making your changes, click Save to apply the updated download settings to your event.
Key Notes
Before You Change Download Settings
Bulk Download and Single Download are independent toggles — you can enable or disable each one separately. Turning off both options fully prevents guests from downloading any photos from the event. Changes take effect immediately after saving and apply to all guests with access to the published event.
