Set Auto-Expiry for Events
Learn how to add an expiry date to a Foto Owl event — set when the event expires from General settings so guests can access photos only until the selected date.
Overview
Process Summary
Setting an expiry date on your FotoOwl event lets you control how long guests can access photos after the event ends. Open your dashboard, navigate to My Events, and select the event you want to configure. In the Settings tab under General, find the Event Expiry Date option, pick a date using the calendar, and click Save. The event will remain accessible to your customers until the selected date, after which it is automatically marked as expired.
Steps
Open Your Dashboard
Log in to your FotoOwl account and open the Dashboard.
Go to My Events
From the dashboard, click on My Events. Here you will see a list of all the events you have created.
Select the Event and Open Settings
Click on the event you want to set an expiry date for. Once inside the event, open the Settings tab.
Open the General Tab
Inside Settings, you will see the General and Privacy tabs. Click on the General tab to access event configuration options.
Set the Event Expiry Date
In the General settings, locate the Event Expiry Date option. Click on the calendar icon and select the date after which you want the event to be marked as expired.
Save Your Changes
After selecting the expiry date, click Save. The event will now be valid for your customers until the selected date.
Key Notes
Before You Set an Expiry Date
Once the expiry date passes, the event is automatically marked as expired and guests will no longer be able to access the photos. You can update or extend the expiry date at any time from the same General settings before or after the original date. Setting an expiry date helps you manage storage and ensures guests access photos only within your intended timeframe.
