How to Share an Event in Foto Owl

Sharing an event in FotoOwl takes just a few clicks. Open your dashboard, navigate to My Events, and select the event you want to share. From there, click the Share Event button to reveal four powerful access options — Guest Access, Full Access, Photo Selection with Full Access, and VIP Guest Access. Each option gives you precise control over what guests can see and how they interact with your photos, making it easy to tailor the experience for every type of attendee.
Steps
Open Your Dashboard
Log in to your FotoOwl account and open the Dashboard.
Go to My Events
From the dashboard, click on My Events. Here you will see a list of all the events you have created.
Select the Event to Share
Click on the event you want to share with your clients or guests to open it.
Click Share Event
Once inside the event, click the Share Event button. You can find this option both on the event card in the dashboard and inside the event page itself.
Choose an Access Type
You will see four access options. Select the one that best fits your sharing needs:
- Guest Access — Guests see only their own photos.
- Full Access — Guests can view all uploaded photos.
- Photo Selection with Full Access — Guests can view and shortlist photos for album creation.
- VIP Guest Access — Guests see only their own photos, identified automatically via a selfie.
Configure PIN and Registration Settings
For each access type, you can customise two key settings:
- Do Not Ask PIN — Toggle this on if you want guests to skip the default 4-digit PIN entry and access the event directly.
- Require Registration (available in Full Access) — Enable this to collect guest details before they view any photos.
Copy the Link or Download the QR Code
Once your settings are configured, click Copy Link to copy the shareable URL, or click View QR to generate a QR code. You can download the QR code and share it digitally or print it for on-site access at your event.
