How to Download a QR Code in Foto Owl
Learn how to download and customize a Guest Access QR code in Foto Owl for instant on-site guest entry — including PIN settings, style customization, and logo editing.

Process Summary
Downloading a QR code in FotoOwl takes just a few clicks. Open your dashboard, navigate to My Events, and select the event you want to share. From the Share Event panel, choose Guest Access — the most common option for ongoing events — and click View QR to generate the code. Before downloading, you can toggle Do Not Ask PIN to skip the 4-digit PIN requirement, and fully customize the QR code's colors, dot style, eye style, and logo. Once ready, click Download QR and the file is saved to your system with the event name.
Steps
Open Your Dashboard
Log in to your FotoOwl account and open the Dashboard.
Go to My Events
From the dashboard, click on My Events. Here you will see a list of all the events you have created.
Select the Event
Click on the event for which you want to download a QR code to open it.
Click Share Event
Once inside the event, click the Share Event button. You can find this option both on the event card in the dashboard and inside the event page itself.
Choose Guest Access
You will see four different access options. For downloading a QR code, select Guest Access — this is the most commonly used option for ongoing events where guests scan a code to view their own photos.
Click View QR
Click View QR under Guest Access. The QR code will appear on your screen, ready for preview and customization.
Configure Do Not Ask PIN
Before downloading, review the Do Not Ask PIN setting. Toggle it on if you do not want users to enter a 4-digit PIN when scanning the QR code.
Customize the QR Code
Personalize the QR code to match your event branding. You can change:
- QR color — Adjust the overall color of the QR code.
- Dot style — Change the shape and appearance of the QR dots.
- Eye style — Modify the corner eye patterns of the QR code.
- Logo — Add or edit a logo displayed at the center of the QR code.
- Background color — Set the background color behind the QR code.
- Dot color — Customize the color of individual dots separately from the eye color.
- Eye color — Set a distinct color for the corner eye patterns.
Download the QR Code
Once you are satisfied with the preview and settings, click Download QR. The QR code image will be saved on your system with the event name as the file name.
